April Foolishness is the eleventh episode of the second series of Sooty.

Plot

It's the April Fools Tea Party, and Richard is determined not to be crowned The Biggest Fool for the second year running. All he has to do is deliver a car to Mr Slater's friend. But with Sooty behind the wheel, will his plans backfire?

Characters

Trivia

  • Wink Taylor reprises his role as Dickie Blazer in this episode. Despite playing a prominent role in the episode, he was not credited.
  • The comedy clown car was provided by Dingle Fingle. Dingle Fingle himself makes an uncredited cameo as one of the clowns. The other clown is Bippo who later appears in Sooty's ABC Adventure.
  • In this episode, we discover that Sooty's box is fitted with a seat belt.

Goofs

  • The clown car has no license plates and would not be legal for Richard to drive on public roads.
  • During one of the shots of Richard and the gang driving into the ceremony, you can see the end of Sooty's puppet.
  • April 1st is supposed to be Sweep's birthday, but that wasn't mentioned.
