Gerry Marsden (born in Liverpool, England, UK, September 24th, 1942) was a friend of Matthew Corbett's and was best known as the lead singer of the band "Gerry and the Pacemakers". He stared alongside Matthew in the 1970's where Matthew covers him in pies and sprays him with water whilst trying to explain what's funny about them. In Matthew Corbett's final episode, Final Farewell, Gerry returned and sang "You'll Never Walk Alone" whilst being covered in pies, paint, and water by Matthew. He died on January 3rd, 2021 in Arrowe Park, Merseyside, England after a short illness.
