The New Ride is an episode of the 2011 series of Sooty.
Plot[]
With the Lady Mayoress coming to open the Park’s new ghost train, Sooty and the gang are determined to impress. But when Richard’s best suit is ruined and Sweep is put in charge of the banners, it’s a race against time to get everything ready.

Trivia[]
- Co-writer Wink Taylor can be seen among the crowd outside the new ghost train.
- This was the first episode to be written, although it was originally rather different to the final episode. As revealed in a blog post by writer Alex Skerratt, the original script was twenty minutes long and included Sooty and Sweep trying to reroute the Mayoress' car with fake signposts and Richard's hair catching on fire.
Goofs[]
- In the scene where Sooty knocks over Sweep and Soo with his ladder, Sweep's puppeteer, Brian Sandford's head can be seen in the bottom left of the screen. Also, a "Coca-Cola" can is visible. Presumably, it belonged to one of the puppeteers.
- Despite being refferred to as "The New Ride", the Terror Castle ride has been seen in many other episodes before hand.
